From October 25 to October 27, 2023, a three-day production and technical seminar course “Sand Control and Inflow Control Devices for Horizontal Wells” was held at the Sand Control Lab Expert Center.
The leading expert of the seminar was Dr. Marat Nukhaev, whose experience in horizontal well completion includes cooperation with such world leaders as Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Resman, Weatherford, and many others.
As part of the seminar, the participants considered issues related to sand control and experience of applying various types of inflow control devices for horizontal wells completion. The course also included hands-on training on the Sand Control Lab’s test rigs. This enhanced the participants’ skills in understanding the testing processes of sand screens and ICDs.
The regular course-seminar became not only a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and transfer of best practices, but also a vivid example of a high level of professional development of specialists in the field of well control.
